Dr. Jose Juan Diaz is an Osteopathic Physician who is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. After attending New York College of Osteopathic Medicine at NYIT as a New York State Regents Scholar, he expedited his training at Helms Institute at the University of California at Los Angeles with a study in Acupuncture Medicine and Gerson-trained physician in Nutritional Training and Counseling; he then advanced to be Chief Resident at Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine at New York University.
After relocating to South Florida, Dr. Diaz served as a Physiatric Associate at the Institute of Non-Surgical Orthopedics. Currently, he is a Clinical Associate Professor at Nova Southeastern School of Osteopathic Medicine and serves as the Director of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation for the OMT Department.
He is the Program Director for the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency at Larkin Hospital, and has been medical director for the Center for Children with Cerebral Palsy and Amedysis Home Health Inc. He is a member of the American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, American Osteopathic Association, Florida Osteopathic College of Pain Medicine, Broward County Medical Association, The American College of sports Medicine, and The American Academy of Integrative Medicine.
As a founding physician of Integrative Spine & Sports LLC located in Fort Lauderdale, Dr. Diaz has an exemplary aptitude of experience. He has served as a guest speaker at a number of association conventions and is an OMT Fellow and Medical Student Preceptor and Mentor. By consolidating Osteopathic Principles, Manipulation, Nutritional Counseling, Acupuncture, Trigger Point Injections, Regenerative Injections, Spasticity Management, Injections with Botox, Dysport and Multiple Spinal and Joint Procedures using Fluoroscopic, Electromyographic and Sonographic guidance, Dr. Diaz is dedicated to an integrated medicine approach.
