THIS IS NOT TRADITIONAL PRP – IT’S PURE PRP
What is PRP Therapy?
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is created from a sample of blood that is drawn from the patient in the office and then placed into a specific type of centrifuge. The centrifuge spins the blood to separate the platelets from the other blood elements. The PRP is then injected back into your body in the place that needs it. PRP therapy naturally helps with injury and healing tissues within the body. It is a natural alternative to the use of cortisone. It has been clinically proven to work better than cortisone in the treatment of osteoarthritis. It is sometimes used in conjunction with Amnio therapy to maximize the regenerative efforts. PRP is a simple, painless, safe and effective treatment option for many musculoskeletal, dermatologic and urologic conditions.
What is Amniotic Derived Allograft Therapy?
Amniotic tissue injection therapy is a new and alternative regenerative form of medicine. Tissue is extracted from donated placentas and processed at FDA cleared labs in the US to produce the liquid graft product ready for injection into a site that requires healing and repair. In general, there are two types of products produced. One is cellular and the other is a-cellular has no living cells present. Overall, both types of products stimulate healing by stimulating your own growth factors to go to the area of repair. Unlike PRP, this product is manufactured from one of the available FDA approved labs and shipped to our office for individual use. Like PRP, it is a simple injection in the office setting.
Pure PRP vs Traditional PRP
Pure PRP has an advantage over traditional PRP in that it requires a two-step concentration process which eliminates red blood cells and neutrophils. Red Blood Cells show no therapeutic effects for regeneration, and creates a more viscous solution which can be more painful when injected. Neutrophils, a type of white blood cell, have inflammatory components which may increase pain and inflammation post-treatment.
Little to No Risk factors
Pure PRP is from your own blood, so there is little to no risk when conducted by a trained professional. Since the cells are autologous there is no risk for allergic or immune reaction.
The Healing Process
Pure PRP signals for Stem cells and regenerative cells to repair and rebuild the damaged tissue. This accelerated healing process reduces pain, promotes increased strength, and improves overall function. The process. called the healing cascade, can be active and take place over a 4-6 week period.
Long Term Outcome
Patients can expect to see significant improvement in symptoms over the course of healing time. This procedure may eliminate the need for further invasive treatments, such as surgery or prolonged use of medications. While other treatments such as corticosteroid injections may provide temporary relief and stop inflammation, Pure PRP injections stimulate healing of the injury over a shorter time period with less side effects. Patients usually report a gradual improvement in symptoms and return of function. Many patients require two to three treatments to obtain optimal results and may even experience a dramatic return of function and relief within 2-3 months.

The Emvera Diolux is a state-of-the-art, gold standard laser for hair reduction, permanent hair reduction and treatment of benign vascular and pigmented lesions. The Diolux features a variable pulse mode to treat all skin types, and offers safe and effective treatment with less pain and much faster speeds than traditional lasers.
Emvera Diolux has a powerful chilled tip cooling system to minimize adverse effects and make the treatment virtually pain-free. The Diolux provides high power, high speed and a wide, spot-size application not available with previous equipment. Emvera Diolux allows the operator to change the pulse mode from CW to short, long or combined pulses, and a MultiPulse mode that can protect all skin types including darker skin. The Diolux Specified Optical Device (SOD) uniformly radiates laser wavelengths for efficient and consistent treatments. The SOD makes it possible to deliver concentrated high energy at the follicle.

The Venacure EVLT procedure uses a minimally invasive endovenous laser to treat varicose veins and is a clinically proven alternative to traditional and painful ligation and stripping surgery. It requires no general anesthesia and offers minimal risk and shorter recovery time.
The VenaCure EVLT procedure uses the latest generation of EVLT® catheter, which has been cleared by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in the United States, to insert a laser fiber directly inside the faulty vein under local anesthesia. The laser delivers a precise dose of energy into the vein wall, collapsing it. This process, called ablation, cures the condition and diverts blood flow to nearby functional veins. The resulting increased circulation significantly reduces the symptoms of varicose veins and improves their surface appearance.
The VenaCure EVLT treatment generally takes less than one hour in a doctor’s office and offers immediate relief with minimal-to-no scarring. Patients can usually resume normal activities immediately with minimal or no pain. The success rate of the VenaCure EVLT procedure is as high as 98 percent – measurably better than the alternatives of surgical ligation or stripping and radiofrequency electrosurgery.
All surgical procedures carry some degree of risk and a potential for complications that should be discussed with your physician and weighed against the risk of leaving your varicose veins untreated. Potential complications include vessel perforation, thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, phlebitis, hematoma, infection, skin pigmentation alteration, neovascularization, paresthesia due to thermal damage of adjacent sensory nerves, anesthetic tumescence, non-target irradiation, vasospasm, hemorrhage, necrosis, skin burns and pain.
Side effects of the VenaCure EVLT procedure include mild bruising and tenderness that usually disappear within a few weeks, and a delayed tightness within the first week after treatment. This “pulling” sensation confirms that the veins were destroyed. Discomfort is usually managed with over-the-counter medications like acetaminophen and ibuprofen. Cosmetic improvement of the varicose veins is often seen, although other procedures like ambulatory phlebectomy may be required to obtain optimal results.
When used to treat medical symptoms such as swelling and poor circulation, VenaCure EVLT treatment is usually reimbursed by health insurance. Contact your insurer to determine coverage.
With more than 70,000 procedures performed and more than 60 published clinical articles documenting the VenaCure EVLT treatment efficacy over the last five years, this system is a proven alternative to invasive surgery. To determine if the VenaCure EVLT procedure is a viable treatment for you, consult with your treating physician.

The Fraxel Laser unit uses a non-laser needle-tip adaptor with tiny micro-needles to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin. The skin’s repair process naturally produces collagen and elastin, ideal for smoothing fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, traumatic scars, and stretch marks. The micro needling technique can be combined with PRP for a more dramatic effect. When combined with Fractional CO2 Laser Resurfacing we can treat sun damage, fine wrinkles, and aging on the face, neck, chest and hands but also on the arms, legs and back as well as certain cases of melisma, certain kinds of acne scarring and surgical scars.
The combination of microneedles and heat is what makes this such effective facial treatment tool. Microneedles are pushed into the skin to a certain depth, and then RF energy is released. The warming needles go directly into the skin tissue to stimulate collagen so that new collagen fibers are produced. Because the epidermis and its top layers are protected during treatments, Fraxis DUO is suitable for use on all skin types, no risk of pigmentation problems.
Fraxis DUO is not just for use on facial areas. It is also great on problem body areas. Most of your patients will have areas on their bodies that they wish looked smoother, lighter, better overall. All skin types can be successfully treated.
Your female patients will have a wide range of issues that they would like to address, from anti-aging to stretch mark removal, to age spots and finally, their intimate areas. Fraxis DUO can help them in treating all their needs from head to toe.
Ziehm Solo is the first choice for small operating rooms. Ziehm delivers optimal fluoroscopic performance when imaging pain management, orthopedics and lithotripsy procedures.
