Dr. Wael Tamin, MD, FACS is an American Board Certified cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon practicing in the Fort Lauderdale area since 2002. As one of the most experienced surgeons in endovascular surgical treatment of heart infections in the country, he utilizes innovative technologies and minimally invasive techniques, including endovascular laser ablation, to elevate the lives of many.
Performing over 10,000 surgeries and procedures with multiple publications in the medical field, he is an expert in modern medicine.
Currently, he is a cardiovascular a thoracic surgeon at Broward General Hospital. His previous hospital affiliations include Imperial Point Hospital, Broward Health North, Cleveland Clinic Foundation Hospital, Florida Medical Center, North Ridge Hospital and Westside Regional Hospital.
Dr. Tamin studied at American University of Beirut, New York University Medical Center, University of Massachusetts Medical Center, University of Massachusetts Medical Center and West Virginia University. He also takes part in the Society of Thoracic Surgery, Florida Society of Cardiovascular Surgeons, Fort Lauderdale Surgical Society, American Board of Thoracic Surgery, American Board of Surgery, American College of Chest Physician’s and American College of Surgeons. He later went on to be an Instructor and Preceptor at Nova South Eastern University and Barry University.
His certifications and licensures include, the Florida Medical License, DEA, West Virginia Medical License, FLEX, ATLS, the American Board of Surgery, ACLS/BLS, American Board of Thoracic Surgery (recertification) and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
His committee affiliations include The Holy Cross ICU committee, Cardiac Surgical Quality Control (Broward General Hospital), ICU Committee (Broward General Hospital) and Surgical Quality Control (Broward General Hospital).
